Employee appreciation can be as simple as saying "thank you." At Select VoiceCom, we always make it a little more fun.
From August 3 to 7, SVC Employee Appreciation Week gave employees a chance to step away from the usual routine, enjoy friendly competition, and win prizes along the way. Different games kept the energy going throughout the week, leading up to a virtual Bingo finale that brought Cebu and Davao employees into the same celebration.
There was something for just about everyone.
Employees put their knowledge to the test in Spin It to Win It, competed for the best scores in Mini Hoops, Mini Golf, and Darts during the SVClympics, and tested their focus and reaction time in Beat the Beat: Clap, Boom, Pen!
Then came Scoop or Skip: Sandok Challenge, where participants relied on luck and instinct as they tried to scoop hidden prizes while blindfolded.
The games' prizes included GCash, SM gift certificates, Jollibee food vouchers, and SVC merchandise. But winning wasn't the only point. The activities gave coworkers a reason to laugh, compete, cheer each other on, and enjoy something different during the workweek.
The week culminated in a bingo game, held virtually so employees from both Cebu and Davao could join the same game.
Players competed to complete Magic 8 and the letters S, V, and C, with ₱1,500 awarded for each winning pattern. The biggest prize of the event was ₱4,500 for Blackout Bingo.
The virtual format made the finale a shared experience across both SVC locations, with winners coming from Cebu and Davao.
Among them were Maxine Reynes, Dennis Simbreno, Jonies Acapulco, Mary Grace Basay, Junjie Olalo, and Kirstie Leigh Gutierrez from Cebu. Davao winners included Relyn Sale, Sioly Joy Suarez, Preachy Vanna Villanueva, and Blackout Bingo champions Ruela Princess Abuana and Angelo Ibañez.
There were plenty of prizes to celebrate, but seeing employees from two sites enjoying the same activity made the finale even more memorable.
Employee Appreciation Week wasn't about putting on five days of activities just for the sake of having fun. It was about creating small moments that remind our people that the work they do matters.
Sometimes appreciation comes through recognition. Sometimes it's a prize, a quick game between shifts, or simply getting to laugh with coworkers.
At SVC, all of those moments are part of building a workplace where people feel appreciated.
To everyone who keeps SVC moving every day, this week was for you. Thank you for everything you do.
