Select VoiceCom (SVC) proudly celebrates a milestone in women's leadership as Paula Isaiah Panganiban, SVC's Digital Marketing & Communications Head, was named the Philippines' Woman Leader 2025 during the Philippines' Leadership Awards, organized by the World Women's Leadership Congress (WWLC) and CMO Asia at Dusit Thani Manila on September 29, 2025.
The prestigious award recognizes outstanding women leaders across industries who shape organizations and communities in line with global standards of excellence and inclusion.
From Journalism to Digital Leadership Excellence
With a degree in journalism, Paula has built an outstanding 18-year career in writing, editorial work, digital marketing, and management. Her background includes working with top media organizations, where she honed her skills in creative direction, strategy, and leadership.
Beyond corporate life, Paula is also a teacher and advocate. She has taught international students and graduate classes at De La Salle University Manila, and regularly trains small business owners across the Philippines on digital marketing and communication. Her expertise has also made her a trusted media resource for insights on digital strategies for SMEs.
A Leader Beyond the Workplace
Receiving the Philippines Woman Leader 2025 award marked a career milestone for Paula, reflecting her years of hard work and dedication. For her, the award symbolizes the strength of women leading in the BPO and digital industries.
"This award is something I hold close to my heart," Paula said. "Beyond inspiring other women to lead and excel in digital marketing, it highlights my advocacy of teaching core digital skills. It also means a lot for the BPO industry because Select VoiceCom is not just a company that creates jobs for Filipinos; it genuinely cares for its people. That's why I'm proud to be part of SVC."
Her words reflect pride and deep gratitude, echoing her belief that leadership is about lifting others.
How SVC Shaped Her Leadership Journey
Before joining SVC, Paula's career was defined by reinvention. She was featured in Cosmopolitan after holding multiple roles within a decade. However, at Select VoiceCom, she found a different experience.
"To be honest, Select VoiceCom is one of the best companies I've ever been part of. I'm truly thankful to my bosses, Mark Shapiro and Trevor Michael, who have been incredibly supportive and have always seen the best in me," she said. "SVC changed my view entirely. It's never toxic. It's always understanding. And most of all, it genuinely cares."
She described SVC's culture as one where people come first, a principle that changed her view of success.
"I have the best team, and I'm proud of each one of them. Working here taught me that when a company values people first, everything else falls into place."
Leading with Empathy and Purpose
For Paula, leadership at Select VoiceCom is more than guidance; it's service with heart. Her approach blends empathy and accountability, qualities that ripple beyond the office walls.
"At SVC, we believe that leadership is not just about titles; it's about service, empathy, and driving growth through people-first values. This is where my personal mission and SVC's goals naturally meet," she shared.
Beyond her corporate role, Paula champions digital empowerment for small and medium Filipino enterprises.
"Outside the organization, I carry SVC's values through advocacy work, particularly in educating small and medium Filipino businesses on how to leverage digital tools to thrive in today's economy. I provide free training and mentorship to underserved communities, helping bridge the digital divide. Leadership can be compassionate, inclusive, and powerful. And I'm proud to be doing that at a company like SVC, which believes that business success and community impact go hand in hand."
