Working moms manage a constant balance between family and career, often quietly and unnoticed.
On May 8, Select VoiceCom (SVC) took time to recognise these everyday realities by honoring the moms in its workforce and celebrating the impact they make both at home and at work.
To show appreciation, SVC gave each mom special gifts: 5 kilos of rice and a personalised greeting card with a cartoon portrait. A themed photo booth, complete with props, allowed them to capture special moments together.
The tribute brought smiles and genuine appreciation, showing how much SVC values its people, especially the mothers who give so much every day.
What truly made the celebration memorable were the heartfelt stories shared by SVC's working moms about what motherhood means to them.
For many, it's the small, everyday moments that matter most. Reah said that hearing her son say, "I love you, Mom," is something she will never take for granted.
Motherhood has also reshaped how they see life and responsibility. As Cherry explained, the experience has taught her to become more patient, responsible, and understanding. These qualities have also helped her stay focused and manage her responsibilities at work.
Another mom reflected on how her priorities have shifted over time. She shared that her actions are no longer centred on herself, but on what is best for her children.
Motherhood also brings lessons that naturally carry into everyday work.
Dianne shared that raising children helped her better understand people, recognising that each individual has different needs and interests.
Others echoed the same idea, highlighting patience as one of the most valuable lessons they've developed, which also helps them navigate both parenting and professional responsibilities effectively.
Juggling work and motherhood isn't easy, but SVC moms continue to rise to the challenge every day.
Many shared how they recharge, whether it's spending time at the beach with family, attending church, or simply enjoying moments at home.
When asked what advice they would give to new moms building their careers, one response stood out:
"Build a career that fits your life, not one that constantly fights it."
At Select VoiceCom, supporting employees means truly understanding their lives and priorities, not just their roles. For working moms, this support enables them to thrive both at work and beyond. Mother's Day at SVC embodied this commitment, celebrating the love and strength of working mothers with genuine recognition and gratitude.
SVC believes a great workplace does more than nurture careers—it empowers them to thrive in every aspect of life.
If you're looking for a company that values people and meaningful connections, we'd love to welcome you.
