Select VoiceCom (SVC) turned October into a month of treats, tricks, and togetherness with two back-to-back events that brought out the company's signature culture of fun and community spirit.
From monstrously good treats to spooky surprises and cute costumes, everyone had something to smile about during this year's Halloween celebration.
On Friday, 24 October, SVC kicked off the day early with the Spooktober Friyay treat, where each employee enjoyed a delightful hot dog from Hungry Dog, a popular Cebuano hot dog joint.
The festive atmosphere filled the 10th-floor hallway as teams lined up to claim their delicious treats, share laughs, and snap photos. For many, the monthly Friyay tradition remains one of the most anticipated company perks.
"Friyay makes me happy. Because of the Friyay, there is something I always look forward to every month," said Aveguel, one of SVC's employees.
The excitement continued on October 25 at 6 a.m. on the 10th floor with a thrilling costume contest featuring seven employees who brought their characters to life, from Valak and Chainsaw Man to La Muerte and the chilling Killer Clown, who ultimately took home first place and a ₱5,000 prize.
After the contest, the participants maintained the festive spirit for the trick-or-treat celebration on the 5th floor by entertaining the kids before the event's official start. Dressed in their spooky costumes, they playfully interacted with the children, adding extra fun and excitement to the morning.
Kids of SVC employees joined in the excitement with a costume runway, followed by a trick-or-treat around the venue and a special K-Pop Demon Hunter Kids' Show with fun-filled games. The young attendees danced and sang along with the dynamic hosts, Huntrix, to songs from the movie K-Pop Demon Hunters, including "Golden" and "Takedown."
The children happily moved from station to station, collecting lollies from costumed SVC team members. Their laughter echoed in the room, and by the end of the event, each child went home with baskets filled with cupcakes and colourful candy treats. Lucky winners of the Kids Halloween costume contest received cash prizes, with five winners taking home ₱1,000 each and ten others receiving ₱500 along with special goodies.
"My daughter couldn't stop talking about how much fun she had," shared one parent. "She loved the hosts, especially the costumes. It's heart-warming to see SVC create moments where families can celebrate together."
More than a festive occasion, this year's Halloween celebration was a testament to SVC's greatest strength: its people.
