Maria Erika Redido and Roselyn Bacsal were recognized as August’s and September’s SVC Titans. It’s truly amazing to see such exceptional talents dedicated to their jobs despite the challenges of their roles. Erika and Rose were honored for their stellar work performance at SVC’s 16th anniversary, Beyond Epic @16, held at the Apex Super Club on September 21, 2024. They received SVC Titan medals and certifications, recognizing their dedication and securing their place among the company’s best.

How Their Careers at SVC Started

Erika, with over three years at Select VoiceCom, and Rose, who has been with the company for more than two, may have both earned their SVC Titan titles, but their journeys couldn’t be more different. For Erika, the transition was seamless from day one, a stark contrast to her previous jobs. “It’s really different working at SVC,” she shares without hesitation, highlighting the unique work culture that sets SVC apart.

For Rose, the journey wasn’t as smooth. “It wasn’t smooth sailing,” she reflects. “Being from a different region and speaking Waray, I initially struggled to communicate with my colleagues here in Cebu. It made me feel like an introvert, something I dealt with daily.” But thanks to the support of her team and supervisor, Rose overcame the challenge. “Now, I feel a sense of belonging, and I’m really happy to be part of our team,” she shares.

Despite starting from different paths, both Erika and Rose excelled in their roles, proving that when you put your heart into your work, success will follow—regardless of where you begin.

An Unexpected Turn of Events at Work

In their SVC Spotlight podcast interview, both Erika and Rose revealed that they had no idea they’d been chosen as SVC Titans for August and September. Their team leaders surprised them by announcing their nomination win. Initially, they were simply asked to submit their metrics and client feedback, unaware it was for the prestigious SVC Titan recognition. Both were overjoyed when they finally heard the exciting news!

Rose shared her gratitude, saying, “I’m really happy because all the hard work I’ve put in has been recognized. I’m thankful for this recognition.” On the other hand, for Erika, receiving the SVC Titan award was unexpected. “I’m just doing my job and loving it. I didn’t think about recognition or promotions, I’m just focused on giving my best every day,” she added.

The Beyond-Epic Night of SVC Titan Awarding

Erika and Rose were called on stage to receive their SVC Titan awards during Select VoiceCom’s 16th-anniversary party. Both ladies admitted to feeling nervous, yet they were thrilled to have their hard work recognized. Rose shared, “It was nerve-racking, being awarded in front of the whole company, especially with the executives there. But I was excited and happy to be on stage with an award.” Erika echoed her sentiment, but from the crowd, their nerves were overshadowed by the joy that radiated from both Titan winners.

Our SVC Titans’ Advice? Love What You’re Doing!

Rose and Erika said there’s really no secret to becoming an SVC Titan. Like everyone else, they are just doing their job and giving their 100%. But something stood out in what the two ladies were saying—it’s to enjoy the work we do. Like Rose said, “There are no like certain standards or requirements for you to be able to become a titan as long as you’re doing your best and enjoy your job, that’s what makes it great or important.” As for Erika, “There’s no really a secret for that. You just love what you’re doing.”

You could see the passion for their work in Erika and Rose’s faces as they spoke about their roles at SVC. When asked for advice for their colleagues, Erika said, “Embrace your mistakes. Trust your instincts. Just enjoy what you’re doing. Like they say, never focus on the negative because you’ll miss the beautiful part of it.”

Rose offered wisdom she’s gained over the years: “At this stage of adulting, we often doubt ourselves and question our worth, asking, ‘Where do I go from here?’ My advice: don’t be afraid to make mistakes or fail. Those challenges will help you figure out your next steps and give you the courage to face what’s ahead. And always believe in yourself—because, at the end of the day, it’s just you. And please, never forget to love yourself.”
