In partnership with Gawad Kalinga, Select VoiceCom volunteered to repaint the subsidized houses awarded to disadvantaged families in Barangay Lorega, Cebu City, on February 25, 2023. SVC employees held their brushes and breathed new life into the homes of these families. This Project 15 outreach program is not just about renovating houses and adding splashes of colors to each wall. It’s more about bringing hope to every homeowner and their loved ones.
Supporting Families, One Brushstroke at a Time
Home maintenance can be a huge burden for underprivileged families who only have little and sometimes, even not nearly enough to support their needs. Repainting may seem like a simple task to do, but for them, it’s another expense they need to shoulder. So, SVC volunteers offered more than just fresh coats of paint. They eased the families’ worries and even allowed them to save their money for more important things, such as food and utilities.
Select VoiceCom collaborated with Gawad Kalinga to answer the call of disadvantaged families, starting with the roofs over their heads. Our volunteers poured their time and energy into each stroke of paint to transform each home and change lives for the better.
Gawad Kalinga Maleta Library: Nurturing Young Minds
Select VoiceCom brought smiles to the little faces of the children of Barangay Lorega with fun and engaging storytelling. Through this activity, SVC opened a whole new world where these kids could learn, grow, and enjoy. SVC volunteers helped 30 children not only grow their imaginations and love for reading but also unlock their potential.
The children of Barangay Lorega received precious gifts from SVC—a collection of children's books they can call their own. These donated books contain stories of inspiration, happiness, and lessons they can treasure and revisit any time they want. On this awesome day, SVC volunteers got to share joyful experiences, play exciting games, and enjoy sharing lunch with these kids.
