It was supposed to be your typical sunny beach escape. But when the skies turned gray and the rain started to pour, we at Select VoiceCom (SVC) did what we do best: show up, adapt, and have a great time anyway.

This year’s summer outing, themed “Work Hard, Luau Harder,” took place at the vibrant Solea Mactan Resort, an ideal setting for a celebration that proved just how different the SVC culture is. Rain or not, it was a day to remember.

Luau Vibes, SVC Style

From the moment we arrived, summer was in full swing. Tropical décor, bright outfits, and high-energy vibes set the tone. Even when the weather turned, no one backed down. If anything, the rain added something special.

“We showed up, the rain showed up… but we stayed anyway and had the best time,” said Hope, one of our trainers, after giving her all in the crowd-favorite game Bayong or No Deal. “It’s not just about the games or the prizes—it’s about being in the moment with everyone.”

Nonstop Highlights from Start to Finish

The day was packed with everything you could want in a summer party. We kicked things off by honoring our Q1 SVC Titan awardees, Joy Ann Dela Peña, Grace Rabanes, and Elle Nina Faburada – recognizing the hard work and dedication they’ve shown.

Then came the Hula Hustle and Bayong or No Deal, which had everyone on their feet (and soaked, but smiling).

Zumba instructor Novien Embradora led the Hula Hustle, keeping the energy up despite the slick stage, and the Music Club and DJ Edz Mabini kept the music going as we danced from puddle to puddle into the evening.

Host Queency (Jamaican Host) brought unmatched energy, humor, and the right touch of unpredictability to keep things exciting.

“Watching everyone enjoy themselves despite the rain just proves how solid this group is,” said our COO, Jermaine. “No bad weather can shake that.”

The Rain Made It Better

What started as a hiccup in the plan quickly became the highlight of the event. There was something unforgettable about seeing teammates laugh, compete, and dance through the rain together. It wasn’t perfect, but that’s exactly what made it memorable.

“There’s something special about seeing everyone just go for it, no complaints, just pure fun,” said CEO Mark Shapiro. “This is definitely one of the most memorable parties we’ve had.”

Beyond the Party

Sure, there were prizes, giveaways, and all the summer essentials. But what truly stood out was the connection. For a few hours, we weren’t just teams or departments, we were one group sharing the same moment. No pressure, no filters, just real fun.

“People came together. They danced, joined the games, and made the most out of every second,” said President Trevor Michael.

Here’s the Real Takeaway

We work hard – really hard. But when it’s time to celebrate, we bring that same passion and energy. Rain or shine, we make it happen. That’s the SVC mindset.

Think this sounds like the kind of culture you’d want to be a part of? We’re growing, and we’re always looking for driven, positive people who know how to bring both skill and spirit to the table.

Apply now and join Select VoiceCom. Bring your best, and we’ll bring the rest.
