SVC's beloved FriYay tradition arrived a day early this month, as teams embraced the spirit of gratitude and celebrated Thanksgiving with exciting games and delicious treats, making the moment feel every bit as joyful and meaningful as the holiday itself.
ThankSVC Week Begins
The week-long Thanksgiving celebration began on November 24 with exciting Power Hour activities that energized the workplace. Team members started their shifts by participating in the Surprising Bowl of Blessings, where they wrote appreciation notes in hopes that theirs would be drawn.
In Finders Thankers, employees from every department searched for hidden turkey stickers tucked away in corners, desks, and hallways. Meanwhile, Talk Turkey to Me, our charades-with-a-twist challenge, had everyone laughing as teams acted out silly prompts and raced to guess as quickly as possible.
The winners happily took home their well-deserved prizes, which included sacks of rice, eggs, bread, and Nutella. However, what truly made each activity special was not only the games themselves, but also the shared moments, friendly competition, and the little reminders of how much we appreciate one another.
An Early Friyay Treat
The highlight of the week arrived early on Thursday, November 27, when the 10F lobby opened its doors at 5:00 AM for a fruity, refreshing Friyay treat. Thanks to our partner Prutasan ni Adan, a trusted local supplier of fresh fruits, the space is filled with bright colors and the sweet scent of ripe produce.
Employees enjoyed a customized frozen yogurt bowl: creamy froyo topped with kiwi, mango, and crisp green grapes, plus crowd-favorite add-ons like granola, cornflakes, crushed Oreos, and a drizzle of Nutella. The combination was the perfect balance of cold, crunchy, and sweet, making it a refreshing pick-me-up before and after shifts.
The lobby quickly turned into a cheerful hangout spot as teammates compared toppings and took photos of their picture-perfect bowls, a simple moment that brought everyone together.
Gratitude in Every Moment
ThankSVC Week wasn't just about games and froyo, it was a celebration of gratitude. Each activity encouraged employees to appreciate the people they work with, the support they receive, and the small wins that make every day meaningful.
