Select VoiceCom (SVC) continues to strengthen its commitment to impactful community engagement with a recent feeding program held at Don Gerardo Ll. Ouano Memorial National High School in Barangay Opao, Mandaue City, Cebu.

The initiative provided 200 food packs to underweight and underprivileged Grade 7 students, aligning with the school’s ongoing efforts to fight malnutrition and promote better learning outcomes.

This program is part of SVC’s broader mission to make a lasting social impact. Just last month, the company successfully completed its 2025 Back-to-School Donation Drive, benefiting four public elementary schools in Lapu-Lapu City.

A Welcome Support

Students, faculty, and administrators warmly received the feeding program. Ruth de Letran, the school’s feeding coordinator, emphasized the importance of the support:

Many of our children are underweight because the school does not have the resources to provide daily feeding. We are always looking for sponsors and donors, so knowing that you have reached out here has a big impact on our children.”

Carmelita Ramirez, the school head, expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the event:

I am very thankful to Select VoiceCom. There are lots of schools that need this kind of activity, but fortunately, Don Gerardo Oano Memorial National High School was chosen to be the beneficiary of this event.

Feeding Minds and Building Futures

Malnutrition remains one of the leading barriers to effective learning among school-aged children. SVC’s initiative underscores the vital link between proper nutrition and education, demonstrating how targeted support can impact students’ lives.
